I have to say this wasn't one of your good chapters, just another filler. Which is fine because we need those. This chapter did have its good moments. I did like the part where Nick said "theres a murderer at the side of your bed." and when he crawled into bed with her.
The line that Nick said at the end of this chapter was very sad. My heart broke some more for him. You make this story so realistic which I am grateful for. Its nice to find a story that you can sometimes relate to the feelings or situations.
I can't wait to see what the next chapter is...I want to get to the good stuff. Hurry back!

Thanks for the review hun! Glad you liked the part where he climbed into bed with her, he needed to do that to show her that he did still care. Grumpy Nick is difficult to write!
Glad that it is realistic for you, I know what you mean about that side, I find it difficult to read stuff where I know it just wouldn't happen that way.

This was a cute chapter, to finally see Nick freak out was a good thing, I'm really glad she was there to help him through this. It goes to show that he does need her as much as she needs him.
I like how you added in something from his childhood, that is something completely different and its nice to see something like that. Not many people think of adding stuff like that, they just stick the basics and what they think they know from reading articles about him over the years.
They both still need alot of work and they both still need to talk about a bunch of stuff. I hope things work out for them and I can't wait to read the next chapter! Update soon!
Author's Response: Don't worry I've been slacking too! I've just moved so between decorating, unpcking, building flat packs, writing my dissertation, oh and working full time, I haven't been around much! Lol! I guess that's just life and unfourtunetly hobbies get pushed to one side!
This is going to be the first "Nick freak outs" of many! He has been so used to repressing his feeli be for do many years that opening up to Adie or even thinkng about them is just too much. He was never taught to deal with his emotions in a constructive way but we will adress that more in the next coming chapters I promise. His childhood plays a major role in that and I'm glad u liked the flashack to his time bfore the boys!
As for Adie all I can say is about bloody time! I think she has finally realized that there are two people in the relationship and just because Nick didn't carry Molly like she did doesn't mean he is hurting any less, no matter how much he tries to tell her that he is "over it"

Okay lets try this again....
This was a good chapter, you're finally showing us Nick's side and I like it. However its kinda driving me nuts that he is doing the same thing she is. I feel like this story is just volleying back and fourth between the two of them and who is going to be sad next and who's turn it is to be mad. I'm hoping for a change REAL soon.
I am proud of Adie though. The fact that she made him realize that she will fight now was a big step for her and it shows that she does love him. I just hope that things will work out in the end no matter how you choose to end the story.
Good luck on writing your 10,000 words. I hope to have an update sooner rather than later, but I know whats more important.

Adie has finally realsied that this realtionship is a two way thing and just because Nick doesn't want to show his emotion doesn't mean she should only focus on her own pain, she needs to make him realise that he needs to share.
Being single in the city isn't always what the television shows make it out to be. It's not one swinging party after the next. Sometimes being alone is just that, lonely. What happens with two people; one a humble passionate pastry chef from Manhattan and the other, a single father in LA; find out they're not so alone after all?
Ahhhhh what happened?!! He was so close to telling her and she turned him away, ugh!

This was a great way to start off the new story and sorta continue on with the others. I can't wait to see how this story will go and what will happen to Nick & Alyssa.
I hope that Shayla doesnt turn into some crazy psycho stalker character because I'm already kinda over her already. Although a confrintation between alyssa & her during this divorce would be great!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed the first chapter. I don't think Shayla will be a psycho stalker but she will definitely do whatever she can to milk this divorce and use it to her advantage. I asure that there will be an Alyssa/ Shayla confrontation somewhere down the line.

I was really excited to see that this story had an update. This was a good chapter not very informative but sometimes you have to have chapters like this just to get to the good parts. I can't wait to see what does happen when they do get home and how they handle everything.
It must be hard having to write a "happy" nick & alyssa but I will tell you it is a nice change since all the hell they have already been through. I liked the part where he was pouting at her because all he wanted was to have her attention, that was a cute little detail.
I hope that everything works out and calms down for you sometime soon. Oh and good luck with getting more inspiration for writing this story. Try and update when you can!

Thanks! I know this chapter wasn't the most exciting, but the main purpose of it was to set the drama in motion by Shayla posting her blog. Msybe that's why it was harder to write for me. I don't exactly love "filler" chapters. The next few chapters we'll start getting into the media backlash as more and more details come out.
It is weird writing Nick and Alyssa happy, but you are right. They could only deal with so much BS before they finally got together. I'm glad that you liked the boat scene. I was going for cute, but there's a thin line between cute and makes you want to vomit LOL.

To see Diane leaving Nick was shocking, I didn't expect that one. Although with Shayla anything can happen. I like how you have this story going, and I hope that everything does work out in the end for Nick & Alyssa.
I can't wait to read the next couple of chapters and how everything plays out. I'm really curios to see what Shayla has to say and do once the media finds out.
I thought it was a nice touch to bring Izzy in as their publicist. I have a feeling that Izzy is going to make the whole scandal and big mess for Shayla, and knowing the Izzy's character she is going to make it funny too!
I know its not really important but I hope to see Nick & Alyssa playing with Grace. It would be a nice touch since the loss of their baby. To see Nick's reaction to Alyssa with a child and vice a versa. Great update and I can't wait for more, hopefully you can get chapters out quicker.
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback! I am glad that you are still enjoying the story even though I haven't been great at updating it. We'll finally start to see things playing out in the media beginning in next chapter and it will get ugly. Izzy definitely has her work cut out for her, but she'll be able to handle it. As far as wanting to see more Alyssa/Nick/ Grace scenes I will see what I can do. It would be a nice touch. Thanks for the idea!

This was a good chapter and I am so glad that Nick & Alyssa are being classy about the whole situation. I just hope everything works out for them and I'm really interested to see how this all turns out. This whole 'America's Sweethearts' thing is only going to fuel Shayla more.
I hope that you don't give up on this story; but I know how it is to have writers block per say. Just keep us updated with whatever you decide to do to this story. This was an interesting short story, sad but good.
I like the song that you chose but there is another song that I think you should listen to, its called "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss. It goes with this story alot better than Rhianna's song I think.
